Early morning thoughts

As I sit in my office writing this, with the sun streaming through my window, I am watching horrific images from Burma and China of natural disasters on the BBC website.(http://www.bbcnews.com/) More than ever I am reminded of the privilege of being born and living in the UK, and the responsibilty to my neighbour I have as a Christian, and today my neighbours are in China and Burma.

The Disaster emergency Committee (www.dec.org.uk) are co-ordinating a UK appeal. Do visit their website and donate if you are able.

As promised a quote to reflect upon:~

“The race of mankind would perish did they cease to aid each other. We cannot exist without mutual help. All therefore that need aid have a right to ask it from their fellow-men; and no one who has the power of granting can refuse it without guilt.”
(Sir Walter Scott)
